God does not abandon us, ever!!!! His plan for each of us, is life ABUNDANT!!! Two years… is a very long time to feel devastatingly forgotten & be without hope, of a future filled with happiness. The struggle could not be more real for Moises; BUT GOD!!!
Jesus is in the networking business! This is a fact, clearly demonstrated in this great adventure/endeavor & beautiful story of healing for Moises & his family! A super huge shout out and heart felt THANK YOU, to so many who made this happen. 4 countries (Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Kenya & United States), several ministries partnering together & the obedience of total strangers following the leading of our Lord (Holy Spirit/Holy Ghost), have given life to hope, for this precious family! Yesterday, Moises started the journey and traveled 3.5 hours EACH WAY (on a good traffic day), to the Laboratorio de Protesis & Ortesis Mision ILAC in Santiago, Dominican Republic, where he was finally evaluated. He received stellar medical care, completely free. HALLELUJAH! This is a miracle in itself, to a man who has not worked enough in two years to provide for health insurance or proper medical care. Their first gift to him was a brand-new set of crutches with nice padding for under his arms, and rubber stops on the bottom. Moises was so happy he tossed the old crutches into the trash with joy in his heart! After all the in’s-and-out’s of checking his condition, the angels working with him created a plaster mold of his stump (cut very short, so it will be a long and difficult process of learning to walk again), then, immediately ordered a prosthetic leg, specially for him. The ride home was filled with lots of questions, wonder and a joyful gratefulness that Moises had not felt for years! He has hope, which will help him endure waiting the 3 to 4 weeks, for his new leg to be made. I can only imagine the exuberance and joy, he and his family, must be feeling today.

Moises needs us, now more than ever! He needs transportation to and from the facility (where he will return several times for follow up care and therapy; to learn to walk with his new leg) 3.5 hours away. If you know someone in his area (just outside Bayahibe, Dominican Republic) with transportation, willing to volunteer to drive him, that would be our very-best option, of course; OR we need to raise the funds to make that happen. Although, that is our only financial challenge in seeing this project through, we are also extremely grateful to Mision ILAC for their help, sacrifice, commitment & love for helping people of Dominican Republic. Please, donate to their ministry; one time or monthly, it would be a wonderful blessing that continues their ability to help others like Moises. Tell your friends and loved ones about what they are doing. Spreading good news, is how ministry and miracles make a difference!
