As we enter 2022, let us look back on 2021 and assess our accomplishments. Although it was a difficult year financially, due in large fashion to the ongoing Covid pandemic which has strangled trade and tourism throughout the world, we are blessed to have accomplished a good bit.
Through generous contributions from our faithful supporters, and the gracious gifting of time and energy by many more, Bridges Abroad sponsored two medical clinics and four food distributions in the Dominican Republic. Many of those who were treated and assisted in these clinics had never experienced the love of Jesus, or the compassion shown by the volunteer doctors and nurses who assisted us. In addition, again with the aid of benevolent saints, we managed to assist in securing a prosthetic leg for a young man in the Dominican Republic, who, since a tragic accident three years ago has been unable to support his family. Now with this prothesis, and proper training, he will be able to resume employment and provide for his family once again.
Bridges Abroad was blessed to be partnered with J33 Medical Missions/God Said Go and have hands on involvement in medical clinics and food distributions in Guatemala, serving the native population in remote mountain regions where no other organizations reach, ministering to and treating people who without intervention, would never receive medical treatment or experience the love of Christ
Bridges Abroad has also spread its compassion to the far side of Africa, where we have assisted in providing two clean water filtration systems, one in an orphanage and the other in a community church in Uganda, where previously the villagers would walk a long way, just to draw their daily water from contaminated bore holes. Simultaneously, our Mission has been working with and supporting a small ministry in Kenya where we were able to start the process and have sponsored the digging of their first ever well for the village. We feel these programs are vitally important, as both nations are predominantly Muslim, and have not been availed the Bible and Love of our Lord Jesus. Your continued support will allow us to finish the well program and deliver the Gospel of Grace to these regions.
There is so much more we hope to accomplish in these nations, and others. With the continued support of our faithful partners, along with accepting more who are willing to assist our programs, both through prayer and financial assistance our goal is to grow these clinics and distributions along with the Word of our Savior. We pray that through God’s grace and direction, we shall make a further impact on the lives and minds of those seeking His Glory. Will you consider partnering with us to sow into the lives of those often overlooked and underserved? Your giving is 100% tax deductible and directly goes to those we serve. Reach out to us today and let’s chat about what God has placed on your heart!
